The Principality of Monaco is launching a very pertinent scientific expedition at a time when global discussions on ocean governance and climate change are gaining momentum. In November-December 2019, the RV Yersin will stop in Seychelles and welcomes BERI researchers to gain knowledge on the interaction between marine biodiversity and Climate Change.
Collaborations with UN agencies like the FAO, the IOC-UNESCO, or the Principality of Monaco allows Seychelles to contribute to the international scientific effort in the field of Climate Change. It will increase the international scientific visibility of the James Michel Blue Research Economy Institute (and partners) on topics related to its mandate on OA (#OceanAction16126) and it will serve to explore innovative ways of addressing Climate Change issues, thus supporting the Blue Economy.
