World Oceans Day is a global day of ocean celebration and collaboration for a better future and is held on the 8th of June annually. To celebrate World Ocean’s Day in 2017, BERI organised a photo competition. Prizes were awarded to the winners in an activity, which also included an exhibition of photos to commemorate Worlds Ocean Day. The exhibition showed the impact of marine debris on the ocean’s ecosystem and the audience were made aware of how we can all work together to support a healthy ocean. The first prize of the photo competition was won by Dillys Pouponneau, followed, secondly, by Prema Servina and, thirdly, by Petra Lesperance in second and third place respectively.
